As a natural health practitioner who has been using therapeutic-grade essential oils for over 12 years, I just wanted to say thanks for posting information about some basic aromatherapy oils and the things they can be used for. One caution though; it is VERY important to understand that not all oils are created equal. Many aromatherapy products available for sale in stores are made with synthetic ingredients and are not truly therapeutic in nature. They might smell nice, but they will not have therapeutic properties and in some cases because of the synthetic ingredients used, can be detrimental to the human body. It is important to do your research on the company's that you buy from to ensure they are using the specific botanical plant, how the oil is distilled and made and what kind of testing is performed to ensure purity. Pure therapeutic-grade essential oils can be used for a wide range of health conditions, but the chemical constituents of the plant oil must be present in order for it to be of optimum value.
