Know Foods That Can Increase Blood Sugar

Glucose is the sugar from food that is formed by the body to use as energy or stored. Glucose is actually a primary energy source, but if the levels are too high can cause serious health problems.

High blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) in the long term will damage the blood vessels and tissues, causing diabetes, and increased risk of heart disease, stroke, vision problems, and nerve damage.

Reduce the risk of health problems by restricting food intake can increase blood sugar levels :

Polished, white grains, such as white rice, pasta, and bread, has been through the processing of rice to remove the skin, so that the fiber is also missing. Without fiber, your body will convert carbohydrates into glucose that quickly so blood sugar levels to skyrocket.

As a source of carbohydrates, choose Cereal or whole grains such as brown rice, quinoa, whole wheat pasta or bread. The fiber content in it will make blood sugar levels rise slowly. Whole Cereal consumption also prevents constipation, obesity, and some cancers.

Fresh fruit
Fruit is a healthy choice, but choose fresh fruit or frozen fruit. When the fruit is dried, natural sugars become more concentrated therein so as to rapidly increase glucose levels. If you already have diabetes, limit intake of fresh ripe fruit because it can also raise your blood sugar quickly.

Limit desserts
Desserts (dessert) and sweet snacks contain extra sugar and flour. The combination of those two things could quickly raise blood sugar and cause inflammation that would prevent insulin draw blood sugar into the cells.

Note beverages
Drinks that contain high sugar also rapidly increase blood sugar levels. The sweet drinks, including soft drinks, sports drinks, fruit juice, or tea.
